Congleton, Cheshire

A place
to breathe.

I’m David Seddon, a person-centred counsellor. I offer a safe, quiet, confidential space where you can explore what’s on your mind — at your own pace, without judgement.

You don’t have to
have it figured out.

Perhaps you’re feeling stuck, or wondering what to do. Maybe something from the past is casting a shadow, or a relationship is harder than it should be. Or you simply want to feel better about life and have more hope.

Counselling helps — not by telling you what to do, but by giving you the space and the relationship to find your own way through.

For individuals

Whether you're facing a specific difficulty or a quieter, harder-to-name sense of being unfulfilled — individual sessions give you somewhere private to talk.

For couples

Relationship difficulties are among the most painful things we carry. Couples sessions offer a neutral space to hear each other properly.

In person & online

Sessions take place at my home in Congleton or via phone or video — whatever works best for you.

“The decisions are always yours — but it helps to have a guide and an empathic ear.”

About David

Warmth, honesty,
and your humanity.

Before training as a counsellor, I spent seventeen years as a primary school teacher — work that gave me a deep belief in people’s capacity to grow and change. I hold an MA in Humanistic Counselling from Nottingham University and am a member of the BACP.

My approach is person-centred: I believe that given the right conditions — warmth, empathy, and honesty — you already have what you need to find your way.

“You can go at your own pace. Some people come simply because they want to feel better about life or have more hope.”

Taking the first step
is often the hardest.

I offer a reduced-rate first session (£35) so there’s no pressure. It’s a chance to meet, ask questions, and see if we’re a good fit — before committing to anything.

Reduced rates available for students and those on low income.
